This award grew out of the work we are doing with Moneywise plus to offer a simple and green way for the business community to tackle digital exclusion, by donating unwanted IT equipment , which is then wiped clean, upgraded, and passed on with free data to job seekers. Sangeeta Patel, from Moneywise plus, presented the award , and shared how difficult it had been picking a winner, when all the companies shortlisted had made a great contribution.
She also shared quotes from people who had benefitted from the work
We chose Alltruck, because they were the trailblazer who got this work started and they did it at a time , when like many businesses they were also having to cope with challenges presented by Covid 19. By using them as an example we have manged to get other businesses on board and so the work continues
