Over the last few months we have been shortlisted for several awards including:
East Midlands Chamber of Commerce, “Excellence in Collaboration” award
Leicestershire Mercury Business awards, Charity of the year.
Charlotte our Head of Children and Young People won the “East Midland’s Chamber, Access Generation, Community Leader award” and our team won the “Global Business Insight Awards, Most Outstanding Community Support & Engagement Organisation 2021”
We have also just been longlisted for the “Centre for Social Justice Awards 2022” an annual, high profile award ceremony that honours the best grassroot, poverty-fighting charities and social enterprises across Britain
Whilst we do not do our work to win awards, it is a morale boost for all our staff, partners, volunteers, community groups and young people to have our work recognised. Its also great to network at awards ceremony and to learn about the great work all other nominees are doing. We are particularly proud that our emphasis on creativity and agility has been picked up on, along with our power to change approach.
Hopefully being nominated for and winning awards, will open some doors so we can share the learning arising from our creative and agile approach to partnership and development, and bring about even more change for the people we work with
Kieran Breen CEO Leicestershire Cares
So thank you to all the people who have nominated and selected us, it gives us hope and encouragement to carry on and to improve on what we do.
