Funded through The Esmée Fairbairn Foundation, our Together We Can project is offering services to young care leavers for the next three years, focusing on supporting them to build the life they want to create.
Our new leaving care development manager – Cara Perry, is exited to launch 3 new groups, as well as provide one-to-one support.
After working with young people for 20 years, I am really excited to be launching these new projects and welcoming new young people to Leicestershire Cares leaving care services.

Our new services are as follows:
Together We Chill
An open weekly session offering activities such as gaming, arts and crafts, music, podcasting, life skills, employability and wellbeing support, plus access to one-to-one support.
When: Tuesdays, 3:30pm–6pm
Where: Leicestershire Cares, 42 Tower Street, Leicester, LE1 6WT
Together We Thrive - Young Women’s Empowerment Group
A monthly Saturday group focused on topics designed by young women, including healthy relationships, leadership, goal setting, wellbeing and empowerment.
When: Last Saturday of the month, 2pm–5pm (dates on poster)
Where: Leicestershire Cares, 42 Tower Street, Leicester, LE1 6WT 42
Together We Strike – Footballs Sessions for Unaccompanied Asylum Seekers. A weekly football session for Leicester’s Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking young people. A change to meet other young people, socialise and exercise.
When: Every Wednesday, 4pm-5pm.
Where: St Margaret’s Pastures Sports Centre, St Margaret’s Way, Leicester, LE1 3EA.
One-to-one Sessions
Sessions are designed to provide additional support, community connection, and personal development opportunities for care-experienced young people and care leavers aged 15–25.
When: Appointments booked with young people.
Where: Leicestershire Cares or at a location in the community.
