Our Team Challenge programme enables employee volunteers to give something back to their local community by undertaking projects that support the not-for-profit sector.
We work with a range of charities and community groups across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland to provide employee volunteering opportunities that develop skills and understanding and help strengthen community groups through a number of initiatives;
- Team Challenges - employee volunteers transform community buildings and outdoor spaces through one day practical projects
- Social Challenges - employee volunteers support service users of a range of community groups at organised sessions
- Festive Challenges - employee volunteers help to spread the cheer of Christmas through supporting festive activities
- Bags of Hope - a collection of gifts at Christmas time to support a particular community need

The garden has been transformed from a drab space into a garden to be proud of. The wonderful painting that Access UK carried out will make the garden an attractive place to be for the families and groups with whom we work. It really has made our day!

Our new Community and Business Support Officer, Bekki, has been busy over the last few weeks meeting with business members and community groups, getting an understanding of the best approach to move Team Challenges forward. We have some interesting ideas which have been suggested, including baking, knitting, painting, gardening, afternoon teas and the bigger tasks of room and garden renovations. We are working hard to complete a number of challenges before the end of the year.
