Our recent work with Leicestershire Police cadets.

25 Nov 2025

The Cares team were delighted to be invited to deliver careers workshops to Leicestershire’s Police cadets.

Open to young people aged 13–17 across Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland, cadets offer more than just an introduction to policing - rather an invitation to adventure, growth, and leadership.

Working across sites in Loughborough, Hinckley, Kibworth and Hamilton our “personal branding” workshop focussed on looking at who we are, our passions, skills and values, deciding on how this can be packaged to create a “brand”.

Taking part in a number of interaction and reflective workshops such as “career pong” quickfire questions and “superpower vs kryptonite” skills cadets were able to see themselves in the eye of the employer.

Many, albeit not all, cadets were hoping to move into careers with Leicestershire Police and were surprised to find out about the various stages of employment and why things like social media can be important, not just to a personal brand, but to ensuring you are successful in recruitment.

“Leicestershire cares looks forward to continuing to work closely with Leicestershire Police , through the Violence Reduction Network projects and through further youth work with cadets.”
