Golden Token Youth & Community Hub Expands Services with Support from Power to Change Project
Over the past eight weeks, the Power to Change project has been working closely with Golden Token Youth & Community Hub to build capacity and enhance the delivery of their services to the local community.
As part of this collaboration, the teams conducted joint outreach initiatives within the community to raise awareness among young people, parents, and local residents about the centre’s offerings. These outreach activities highlighted the range of sessions available, and the issues Golden Token aims to address.

A six-week outreach programme was set up during this period, building on previous work delivered in partnership with the hub. As a result, the project successfully delivered a total of eight sessions, including three dedicated outreach efforts in the local area. This work has significantly boosted engagement, with forty-three new young people attending Golden Token's youth sessions — a direct outcome of the outreach campaign.
One particularly impactful connection was made during the outreach when a local gentleman and retired teacher expressed a desire to support the community by offering ESOL, English, and maths lessons. Thanks to this engagement, he is now delivering educational sessions twice a week, with a focus on supporting refugees and wider community members.
Golden Token’s founder, Dujana, has been instrumental in driving this positive change. His commitment to youth and community development is evident, and he has taken on board all the support and guidance provided by Power to Change project. Under his leadership, Golden Token is thriving as a truly inclusive space for all.
In addition to youth and education-focused sessions, the hub has also launched a youth sports programme, now running weekly and growing in participation and impact. To further enhance their outreach and evaluation capabilities, the team at Golden Token have also received support to upskill in media capture — helping them creatively document feedback and display outcomes.
This partnership has not only strengthened Golden Token’s capacity but has also laid the foundation for long-term, sustainable community support. It stands as a shining example of what can be achieved through collaboration, passion, and a shared commitment to local empowerment.
