Exciting News: New Clinics in Beaumont Leys and Saffron Lane!

11 Jun 2025

We are thrilled to announce the opening of two new advice clinics in Beaumont Leys and Saffron Lane, expanding our reach and ability to support the local community.

In Beaumont Leys, we are proud to partner with the GATE Project, a fantastic initiative that provides vital outreach services to the Leicester Irish Traveller and Romani communities. This partnership allows us to offer dedicated benefit and energy advice to their service users, empowering these communities with the support they need to thrive.

Our recent visit to the GATE Project was both insightful and enlightening. It was a valuable opportunity to learn about the history, culture, and unique challenges faced by these communities. We are grateful for the chance to better understand their needs and are excited to work alongside the GATE team in the months ahead.

We are equally excited to announce that our Saffron Lane clinic will be hosted at the Pork Pie Library, a Grade II listed building that dates back to the 1930s. This iconic library retains much of its original interior, preserving the charm and historical significance of its era. The library is staffed by a passionate and dedicated team of librarians who are eager to enhance the lives of local residents and bring the community closer together.

We are looking forward to strengthening our relationship with the team at Pork Pie Library and continuing to offer much-needed energy and benefits advice to local service users.

Our clinic at Pork Pie Library operates on a bi-monthly basis, every other Wednesday. To find out more about available dates or to book an appointment, please contact the library directly on 0116 454 0410.

We look forward to continuing our work with these wonderful organisations and supporting the communities of Beaumont Leys and Saffron Lane.

We would like to take this opportunity to extend our heartfelt thanks to Reaching People for their invaluable support. Their continued collaboration enables us to extend our services throughout the city, ensuring that no one is left without assistance.
