Everards Win SEND Empowerment 2025 Award

24 Jun 2025

It was an honour to present the SEND Empowerment 2025 Award to Everards at our Leicestershire Cares Annual Celebration.

Over the last 12 months, Everards have consistently supported the work of the project by volunteering at a variety of events and providing fantastic opportunities for participants to get involved in, including a corporate experience at Leicester Riders. Jenny Hailes of Everards in particular has been a standout volunteer, with many young people on the project forming fantastic relationships with her and appreciating both her support and the opportunities that she has helped to provide for them.

I have always been so into sports and these are things have been sort of on my bucket list. I thank Jenny and Everards for giving me these wonderful experiences that I would have only dreamt of really.

Altogether Now Participant

Everards continually support our work, with volunteers attending workshops ranging from visiting a trampoline park for some fun to providing mock interviews! I think it's fantastic that our young people are not only just on first name terms, but have now formed a strong relationship with Jenny. The team and young people are extremely grateful for all the support and the opportunities that have been provided from Everards in the last 12 months and beyond.

Ross Cox, Altogether Now Project Manager

We would also like to congratulate and thank our other nominees, Hinckley & Rugby Building Society and Thermofisher Scientific, for continuing to support the project and it's young people by providing incredibly valuable experiences and fantastic volunteers throughout the last year.
