An exceptionally epic session for the Powering Up Projects- Empowerment group for Young Women over the summer holidays.
We themed the summer session on Art, and with the great Renoir masterpiece The Umbrellas, currently at the Leicester Museum and Art Gallery, it was a must we visited the museum to see the great impressionism piece, as well as giving the girls the inspiration to create their own masterpieces.
I am very happy i attended, and was able to enjoy a day with some lovely girls. I will definitely be joining the next session!

We had an amazing session with our empowerment group, bringing together girls from all walks of life with a shared passion for art and creativity. The room was alive with energy as the girls expressed themselves through beautiful canvas pieces, each one inspired by what they felt in the moment.
Art is a powerful tool for young people—it fosters creativity, self-expression, and relaxation. It was wonderful to see so many young women come together and embrace their artistic talents.
To top off the day, we enjoyed pink fizz and pizza, making the session not only productive but also fun and memorable. I’m inspired to host more creative sessions with these incredible young women!
We were also joined by Nutan from the Leicester County Council Mental Health support worker, as well as Victoria Organisational Development Specialist from the University of Leicester & mentor and professional coach. Their presence added even more value to our session and to interact with the young women!
The empowerment group is on the rise, uniting a vibrant and diverse group of young women who are forging strong connections and discovering incredible insights about themselves and each other. Empowering themselves and other young women!
