More than 1,700 Easter eggs and craft items have been donated to 27 community groups, charities and support organisations across Leicester and Leicestershire bringing seasonal cheer to families and individuals who might otherwise have gone without a treat this Easter.
The bumper donation—coordinated by Claire, Community and Business Development Officer, along with 20 Business Members and Partner Organisations—was distributed over the course of the Easter period to food banks, adventure playgrounds, community centres, youth groups, shelters, care organisations, and community projects working with vulnerable residents across the region.
Recipients included groups in Leicester, Coalville, Melton, Sileby and several surrounding villages. Many of the organisations support children, young people, isolated older adults, and families facing financial hardship.
The generosity of the donors has made a meaningful difference at a time when many households continue to feel pressure from rising living costs and we can’t thank them enough.

Groups receiving the eggs echoed the sentiment, noting how seemingly small gestures can have a powerful impact.
“The children were absolutely thrilled,” said a representative from a Leicester Adventure Playground. “Acts of kindness like this bring a real lift to the families we work with.”
Adventure Playgrounds
The initiative continues to grow annually, with more local businesses, education establishments and individuals contributing each year. Plans are already underway to expand the network for the next Campaign, with hopes of reaching even more people across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland
