This amazing project takes place every year and aims to deliver hope for communities that are in danger of being left behind. By collaborating with our business members, local authorities, and community partners, #BagsOfHope sees bags filled with essential items and festive treats being delivered to countless people throughout Leicester and Leicestershire.
The festive period can be a difficult time for people who are vulnerable or disadvantaged within the city and county. With risks of social isolation, pressures from the festive period, and increased household bills in the winter, the vital support #BagsOfHope provides can make a big difference in people's lives.
Our Service Users were overwhelmed with the BagsOfHope, we saved them until Christmas Eve when we had our festive games.

Leicestershire Cares are proud to announce that 941 Bags of Hope were delivered along with 7 christmas trees, 100 selection boxes and 35 chocolate santas supporting 36 community groups. Over 120 coats and warm jumpers were donated to homeless charities, a local foodbank was supplied with 30 handmade stockings and the neonatal unit at the LRI received a bag of handknitted cardigans. These generous donations came from 29 local businesses who were amazing supporters of this campaign.
Just wanted to say a great big THANK YOU for the very generous donation of the Bags of Hope. The girls were over the moon and very grateful for the bags. They told me that they couldn't believe that people they didn't know could be so kind, I reminded them that they are some exceptional people out there.
