The VIP team were delighted to award CPW with the “Outstanding Business Contribution to the VIP Project Award” award at the Leicestershire Cares Celebration Event 2023.
The event provided an opportunity for us to network with our business members and provide them with insight into the various projects within Leicestershire Cares. This year, CPW won the award because they have employed a previous VIP participant as an apprentice.
We are immensely grateful to John Hauton of CPW for the pivotal role he played in facilitating a career talk and work experience for our VIP participant. John was impressed with the quality of work our VIP participant produced and so he encouraged her to apply for an apprenticeship. We would like to extend our gratitude to both John Hauton and CPW for the role they have played in raising the aspirations of this participant and giving her the opportunity to attain success in her apprenticeship.
Chikodi Oraka- Youth Justice Project Development Manager
CPW have been delighted to work with Chikodi from the Youth Justice Team. The chance to make a difference to Young Peoples lives is an invaluable opportunity and we are really pleased to play a part. We have seen some success in that a Young person has gone through an initial Career Talk, Work Experience and now has a place on our Apprenticeship Scheme which shows the system does work !
