Volunteer in Schools

Our education work aims to give all students an equal chance to turn their potential into success. Our focus is on delivering employability education in both mainstream and SEND Schools and we work with schools across Leicester City and County. Our services support schools to achieve and evidence the Gatsby Benchmarks and meet Ofsted inspection criteria and support students to gain confidence and skills.

Volunteering opportunities:

Interview Technique - Conduct mock interview sessions with a group of volunteers and years 10/11/12 who will be preparing for further education or training.

Speedy Speakers - Give a 5 minute talk to students about your role at work, followed by a Q&A session.

Guess my Job - Students ask questions to business volunteers in order to find out what their job is.

Workplace Skills and Behaviours Workshop - Talk to students about skills and behaviours that employers expect in their workplace.

Workplace Tours - Invite a group of students into your place of work to give them a better understanding of the industry.

CV Workshops - Give a short introduction about what a CV is and what makes a good CV and then support students through various activities.

Lovely kids, really quite taken a back by how focussed and engaged they were. All so polite and thankful. It was an absolute pleasure to help them.
