Our Community Development Team are hard at work on our #BagsOfHope Campaign, partnering up with our business members to deliver bags of essential items and festive treats to disadvantaged communities across Leicestershire.
This year, the Team wanted to raise the bar in the campaign’s mission of transforming despair into hope for communities in danger of being left behind. We thought we’d update you with some highlights of what they’ve achieved so far:
- Sent out a total of 1108 bags
- To 24 organisations working to help fill them
- Taking in a total £420 of monetary donations
- With 202 full bags already delivered to community groups!
As the campaign now enters its final week, the Team are firing all cylinders to get the items contributed by businesses out to our partner community groups. No small task for sure, but it looks like they’ve got it in the bag!

Your generous contributions are what enable us to deliver this wonderful campaign that can transform the lives of people in vulnerable and disadvantaged communities across the city and county.
