We are delighted to announce that following on from our annual awards celebration, Sally Romankiw, of Walkers deli, Samworth Brothers, is our volunteer of the year 2021.
Sally has shown many of the qualities that we have come to expect from working in partnership with Samworth Brothers. She is genuinely committed to supporting the community and young people and has gone about her work with creativity ,agility, passion and humility. Be it making masks or helping to get food and essential items to people in need, linking up with “Holiday Hunger” projects, sharing her skills with community groups and encouraging and enabling her colleagues to participate, she has been an inspiration. Her actions have enabled us to literally help thousands of families and young people who were in danger of being left behind and in doing so she has helped turn despair into hope
