Every community has a culture and identity and ways of doing things, which is something that should be considered when dealing with diverse communities.
The notion of diversity in the business environment goes beyond gender, race, and ethnicity in the age of globalisation.
As a result, employees now come from diverse backgrounds including religious and political beliefs, educational backgrounds, socioeconomic backgrounds, sexual orientations, cultures, and disabilities.
Leicestershire Cares is creating a short video on the importance for business members to embrace diversity and develop cultural awareness.
In the coming months, our video will be used as a training tool and will increase the importance of business members embracing diversity, establishing cultural awareness, and understanding the differences in attitudes, beliefs, ethics, and values between cultures.
The video will aim to inform business members how to engage with key stakeholders within the community and to amplify the voices of underrepresented groups in the workforce, in terms of Race, ethnicity and religion.
