Can you give back one morning in 2022 to help students with their interview technique?

11 Nov 2021

If you are a business or a single volunteer who is looking for a way to give back to young people and help them to bridge the gap between school and the workplace our interview technique events are an easy way to do this. Offering your time for just one morning (4 hours) can make all the difference.

Leicestershire Cares Interview Technique sessions really make an impact both for the next generation and for the volunteers. For businesses this can be an excellent way to boost your staff’s skills. Volunteers have reported improving their communication, mentoring and interpersonal skills and organisations report greater employee motivation and productivity. How volunteering can boost employees.

For 2021-22 we have a mix of in school and remote (by Zoom) interview technique events Interview Technique dates 2021-22 These are both in mainstream and special schools.

Across one morning a whole year group of students (usually year 10 or 11) will have an interview and receive feedback from a business volunteer. This may well be the first time they have experienced an interview scenario and is great practice for future college or job interviews. It is also a way for the student to find out more about a range of jobs they may not have considered.

"My interviewer was really nice and not too full on in terms of the questions they asked me. They were also very helpful with the feedback they gave to me which I will work at for my next interview”
