What have we learned from Covid about the needs of young mothers? Free Webinar 11th May 2021 1300 to 1400

22 Apr 2021

In the eighth webinar of our #BBBYouthWelfare series we will focus on the needs and experiences of young mothers and their babies throughout the Covid-19 pandemic. We will particularly look at practical examples of what communities, the local government and private initiatives can do to improve the lives of young mothers and their babies across Leicester in order to #BuildBackBetter and leave No One Behind.

The webinar will be chaired by Anamaria Oprea, Lead of the Social Care Learning and Development Hub at De Montfort University, joined by guest speakers:

Sasha Loyal, PhD Student, Centre for Reproduction Research, De Montfort University

Becky Saunders, Child Psychotherapist and Head of Policy & Development at Home-Start UK

Neetu Squire, Head of Community Development at Leicestershire Cares

Cllr Sarah Russel, Deputy City Mayor of Leicester, Social Care and Anti-Poverty

Our ongoing series of #BuildBackBetter webinars focuses on Youth Welfare and will be running until June. Our emphasis is on encouraging discussion amongst participants. The #BBBYouthWelfare webinar series is a partnership between De Montfort University through the Social Care Learning and Development Hub, Leicestershire Cares and the LLR Safeguarding Children Partnerships. If you care about how government, community and business can best work together so nobody is left behind then this is a must attend event, as are the next webinars in this series.
