Volunteers’ Week 2021

1 Jun 2021

Leicestershire Cares wants to thank all its volunteers and recognise their huge contribution to our work in celebration of Volunteers’ Week 2021.

Our business volunteers are crucial to the delivery of our support to young people, communities and schools. In the last year, more than 500 volunteers from our businesses have stepped up to tackle the challenges of the pandemic, and helped us support over 8,000 school students, hundreds of vulnerable young people and a wide range of community groups working across the city and county.

Our volunteers have delivered food parcels, mock interviews, career talks, cooking sessions, fundraised, collected items for homeless people, hosted work placements, run quizzes, and provided valuable input and advice to our projects and participants.

Leicestershire Cares exists to link business with community, schools and young people and without our volunteers, this wouldn’t be possible.

So a huge thanks to all our volunteers for all your hard work! Please keep an eye on our social media this week to see some of our volunteer highlights from the last 12 months.
