Toys on the Table is a charitable organization that operates in Leicester and Leicestershire. Its main objective is to provide new toys and gifts to children during the festive season, irrespective of their faith, who may not receive anything otherwise. The team of volunteers works tirelessly throughout the year, collecting hundreds of donations and carefully categorizing them into age-appropriate bundles of toys.
Over the past six weeks, the Community Development team at Leicestershire Cares has collaborated with Toys on the Table and 14 businesses from around Leicester and Leicestershire. Together, they have provided 26 volunteers to wrap the gifts and donations that have been generously given to the campaign. The volunteers have devoted an impressive 310 hours to wrapping the gifts! This year's campaign aims to provide present bundles to more than 2,200 children, which amounts to over 10,500 gifts being delivered during this special time.
