Gorse Covert Community Centre is vibrant community centre based in the Dishley area of Loughborough. Their focus is to provide a warm and welcoming environment for the local community and to support people's health and wellbeing.
On Wednesday 6th December, Thermofisher generously provided a festive buffet for the local residents who regularly attend the centre. The volunteers gave up their time and helped with setting up the room and decorating tables. They also served coffee’s and tea’s, and joined in conversation with those who attended.
The volunteering work brought lots of “Christmas cheer” to many of our locals, bringing them all together. Many people who attended the centre live alone and this event proves as an ideal social event for them to attend and feel included during the festive season.
