Twice a year we meet with the champions from our business members to celebrate their support of our work, consult on ideas and discuss up and coming work.
We were delighted to see so many of our business members represented last week who consistently show commitment and energy to make a difference in our local communities.
Well done to all of those that were recognised for the amazing support they consistently give to our projects. We awarded 16 Golden Heart awards and a Champion Champions award; we really can’t deliver our work without them.
Details were shared about the action research project we are currently doing with the RANK Foundation on improving our understanding of the needs of BAME communities, and a discussion was had around the current challenges of youth unemployment and the opportunities available to help address this issue.
We also shared details of our current Easter campaign ‘Bags of Hope’ which is collecting and distributing bags of treats to disadvantaged children across the city and county.
