Pathways continues to support NEET Young People

12 Mar 2021

The YES Project have partnered with Pathways to provide expert advice and guidance to NEET young people about accessing further and higher education.

For this months session Pathways delivered one on the different routes young people can take to get into higher education. Katie delivered a great and informative session telling our young people about the different levels, qualifications and routes that are available to them such as degree apprenticeships, NVQ`s and BTEC`s. She informed young people that there are a few types of Level 3 qualifications open to them such as, Academic, Vocational Technical and Occupational qualifications and gave them advice on how to chose which of these routes to take. We also discussed why people go back into education and what the benefits are. A quiz was shared with young people that would help them figure out their personality type and where their strengths may lie. From this session a few young people are now seeking careers advice after it was mentioned that it is available for free at Leicester College!

Thanks again Katie and Pathways!

The next Pathways session is on the 14th April at 1:30 PM. This aim of this session will be to learn more about the types of support on offer at local further education colleges and universities for students.
