PACE is a charitable organisation that supports the community in various ways. They provide food through community shops and emergency food parcels, community meals for families and the elderly, youth activities, school work, and hamper provision of food and gifts for vulnerable families.
On Tuesday, December 12th, the Meals Division of Samworth Brothers generously volunteered their time to help at the annual 3-course Christmas lunch for the Seniors Group. The volunteers helped to prepare and serve food for the 140 guests. This was an extraordinary gift not only to the staff and regular volunteers but also to the people supported in the local community. Additionally, the businesses generously provided beautiful Christmas shortcake biscuit tins for each guest to take away with them.
The volunteers were superb and a real asset to the team. We wouldn't have been able to cope without them.
