One of our longest standing member firms, Office Depot, based in Beaumont Leys, contacted us recently offering a huge amount of toiletries that were surplus to requirements from one of their suppliers. They asked if we could contact community groups who might benefit from them. We’ve worked hard to identify organisations who can get the products out to the people and groups who need them the most in these difficult times.
The items will go to community groups based in Leicester and Leicestershire working with children, families, vulnerable adults, Africans living in Leicester, older people, groups working to alleviate poverty and abuse, groups working in sexual health, training and to foodbanks.
Since the start of the pandemic, there are so many more families and individuals in need of basic items. Through Office Depot and their supplier’s generous donation, we are now able to support many groups who are working across Leicestershire to assist people who are most in need.
Office Depot have not only offered the products but are also willing to deliver them to every organisation. In the 16 years they’ve been a member of Leicestershire Cares, Office Depot have always been willing to lend a hand and have been so supportive of our work and the groups we work with.
