A night of celebration was held to recognise and honour individuals who have made significant contributions to their communities.
The celebration evening was attended by local government officials, community partners, and change-makers. Awards were given in several categories, including Future Star, community contribution, Young Enterprise, education, and sports.
We are proud of one of our young people, Tanisa, who won the entrepreneurship award. This award recognises people who take on challenges, achieve goals, and surpass them.
It was such an honour to be nominated by Leicestershire Cares for this award, it reinforces how much hard work has been put into setting up your own business and reflecting on the highs and lows, but without the support and encouragement I had from Neetu Squire and her team at Leicestershire Cares I wouldn’t be where I am today. Thank you!

It was great to attend the AAA Foundation awards evening and celebrate our diverse communities and the fantastic and inspirational work that is being recognised across the city and county. I was very proud to have sponsored Tanisa and her entrepreneur of the year award as she has worked so hard, and her journey hasn’t been an easy one, but this young lady’s journey has only just begun.
