Holmfield Day Centre is a social care facility located in Leicester, UK. The center provides day care services to older adults who require additional support and care during the day, including those with dementia or other cognitive impairments. Trained staff members at Holmfield Day Centre organise a variety of activities and programs designed to promote socialisation, mental and physical stimulation, and overall wellbeing of the clients. These activities include exercises, arts and crafts, games, music therapy, and outings to local attractions.
On Friday, 15th December, volunteers from Walkers Deli generously gave their time to entertain the 25 guests at the centre. The team led several games of bingo, giving out prizes for each win. The guests thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment and were fully involved and engaged, laughing and joking with the volunteers and staff. Walkers Deli kindly supplied and served a wonderful afternoon tea that included cakes, crisps, nibbles, and fresh cream scones. Each guest was also treated to a selection box to take home and enjoy.
The event was a real success, thanks to Walkers Deli for their time, energy and thoughtful gifts and prizes.

It was an amazing day volunteering at Holmfield Day Care Centre, bringing some festivities and joys to the lovely residents. We enjoyed sweet treats during the afternoon tea and some amazing games of bingo and a quiz. It meant a lot to all of us to give back and entertain the residents!
