Education Volunteer of the Year 2021

16 Sep 2021

Our business volunteers have gone above and beyond over the last 18 months to ensure that students can still benefit from their expertise and advice during school closures and lockdowns. By being creative and agile, our volunteers and education team managed to reach over 4,600 students in the last year, through online mock interview events, remote careers talks, virtual employer challenges, online CV workshops, maths challenges, pre-recorded videos and our National Careers Week competition.

It was difficult to choose our five shortlisted nominees from the hundreds of volunteers who have supported our education work over the last year, but these individuals stood out as being truly committed and taking part in a range of activities to support students:

  • Evan Crosskey - Hinckley and Rugby Building Society
  • Nick Cavaciuti - Joules
  • Lyndsay Johnson - The Access Group
  • Jamie Mollart - Rock Kitchen Harris
  • Christian Cowie - Cambridge and Counties Bank

We're looking forward to seeing our finalists and other business members at our annual celebration on Wednesday 22nd September. Please follow us on Twitter @LeicsCares as we announce the winners!

A huge thank you to all our members and volunteers for all your support over the last 18 months.
