Denise Bradshaw from Hinckley & Rugby Building Society receives a Golden Heart for her commitment to our Education Projects.

4 Nov 2022

We were delighted to present Denise Bradshaw from Hinckley and Rugby Building Society with a golden heart certificate at our November business champions event, for her commitment to our education projects.

Denise has been a Go for Reading volunteer since November 2015 and attends The Hinckley School, weekly, to support students with their reading skills. She was very keen to get back into volunteering as soon as schools welcomed visitors again after the covid19 lockdowns. Since then, she has also attended a selection of Interview Technique events at schools across Leicester and Leicestershire, where she has given mock interviews and valuable feedback to students in order for them to improve their employability skills.

Denise has supported so many students to improve their reading over the years. In my opinion this is one of the greatest gifts that can be given to a young person in order for them to break down barriers and be successful in the future

Helen Treadwell, Education Development Manager

Denise is part of a great team of volunteers at The Hinckley & Rugby Building Society who Leicestershire Cares are very fortunate to have a strong partnership with.

The education team and the wider team at Leicestershire Cares look forward to continuing our partnership work with Hinckley & Rugby Building Society over the next few months and in 2023.
