Our work with vulnerable students in 2018-19

Last academic year, a key focus of our education projects was to increase our engagement with special schools and improve support for vulnerable and disadvantaged students. Our longstanding relationships with Keyham Lodge and Millgate School have strengthened as we continue to work with young people who have been excluded from mainstream education for a range of reasons. In addition, we worked with two new special schools to deliver employability activities with their students.

The feedback from school staff, students and volunteers alike showed that this aspect of our work was particularly valued and effective.
