Leicestershire Cares wins Value for Money Award at Safer Community Celebration

3 Feb 2020

On Thursday 30 January, Leicestershire’s Police & Crime Commissioner, Lord Willy Bach, hosted a special event to recognise the work of local projects which contribute to the five themes set out in the Police and Crime Plan.

Leicestershire Cares was delighted to win the Value for Money Award for our work in reducing re-offending rates through our WIRE and UP projects. Both projects support people with criminal histories, or who are at risk of offending, to address their barriers to employment and education through tailored one-to-one support and work placements with our business members.

Leicestershire Cares was one of seven organisations to win an award at the Safe Community Celebration, as Lord Bach recognised key projects for their exceptional contribution to the delivery of his Police & Crime Plan.
