In the past three years the YES (Youth Employability Support) Project has supported 427 young people take steps toward employment, training and education. Following on from this success, we are delighted to announce that the YES Project has secured continuation funding until February 2022. Funded by the European Social Fund and The National Lottery Community Fund, the project exists to help 16 – 25 year olds find employment, education or training and works hard to help reduce barriers that they face such as low confidence, lack of employability skills, unsecure housing and mental health issues.

So, what does this all mean for Leicestershire Cares?

As one of the nine YES delivery partners, Leicestershire Cares will continue to support and empower young people to improve their chances of work and overcome these barriers.

We improve the lives of individuals by providing personalised employability programmes tailored to individuals needs which includes:

  1. Work Placements and experiences
  2. CV and employability workshops
  3. Interview Techniques
  4. Other ad – hoc workshops including mental health and budgeting
