Changing attitudes and making our communities safer

Earlier this year Rudi, WIRE Project Development Officer and Siobhan, UP Project Development Officer participated in a seminar aimed at encouraging local employees to consider giving work experience and employment opportunities to ex-offenders. This blog from the “Exceptionals” website gives more information.

We are very proud to work in partnership with the PCC and with the support of Lloyds Bank Foundation to deliver this much needed work. As Rudi said at the seminar:

"Employing ex offenders is one of the most successful methods of ensuring people do not reoffend and it is a real “win win”. Employers get hard working committed employees, the state stops paying benefits and starts getting tax and our communities become safer."
