Celebration Assembly at Holliers!

Lisa Denman, Joe Kirby and Sue Uttley from National Grid in Hinckley, were delighted to receive thank you cards from Holliers Walk School pupils. The team have been volunteering for a combined total of 12 years between them for the Number Partners project. Volunteers were invited along to a Celebration Assembly to receive thanks for being such superb volunteers at the school local to their Hinckley base. Success written on the walls for National Grid paint challenge team

It was a tall order but when a team of National Grid volunteers were asked to spruce up Burbage Millennium Hall, near Hinckley, they rose to the challenge.   With its high ceilings and expansive walls it was a tough job to give the main hall two coats of paint in just one day. It was an emotional moment as Sylvia Sullivan who works at National Grid in Hinckley was presented with her Golden Heart award to recognise her outstanding commitment and dedication to the Go for Reading project. Employability at New College & Golden Heart #41

The 17th September saw Leicestershire Cares Employability Project roll out at another city school. 156 students  at New College Leicester spent the day taking part in workshops for skills, team work and customer services.
