Today, 21 volunteers interviewed 218 students at Charnwood College in Loughborough. The event ran well with the following comments from students: “This mock interview was very useful, I felt very comfortable. Children say goodbye to their volunteers

A group of children from Holywell School in Loughborough have been working with a team of volunteers from DNV GL since September 2013. This was their final week, so as a treat, it was adults vs kids to see who could be the Number Partners Grand Master! The children just loved this challenge and were delighted that they all won at some point! It’s all going swimmingly…

The Number Partners Team from the Amateur Swimming Association is now at full strength at Beacon Academy in Loughborough. Helen, Tanya, Julie and Fiona are now able to support 8 children each week from both Year 5 and Year 6. Last week, the children were very competitive and it was smiles all round from both adults and children as they played  the specially designed board games. Go for Reading at Limehurst Academy

Earlier this week Gail Brown, Education Coordinator at Leicestershire Cares, checked in on the Go for Reading volunteers at Limehurst Academy in Loughborough. Tanuja and Chhaya, who have been volunteering at the school for 2 years and a year respectively, do excellent work in improving the confidence and enthusiasm for those students who are struggling to read.
