Community Safety Case Study – Carlton

Carlton Chokufa was referred to Leicestershire Cares in May 2015 through the Probation service.  He was interviewed and accepted onto the Community Safety Work Placement Scheme. The Community Safety project, helping ex-offenders into work, is celebrating a double success with the construction firm Bowmer & Kirkland giving two Leicester men a fresh start in full time paid employment. Family-owned Bowmer & Kirkland has started taking ex-offenders on placements which include mentoring by the firm’s staff and are designed to boost confidence and skills.
