VACANCY: Leicestershire Cares Development Officer Education.  

Based Leicester city.  Term-time focus, 0.8 FTE pro-rata of 22k to 25K plus 5 percent pension contribution and generous annual holiday.

Leicestershire Cares is an award winning, vibrant, creative and results orientated charity that has been operating, across Leicestershire for fifteen years. We are looking for someone to lead and coordinate the development, planning, delivery, promotion, monitoring, evaluation and reporting of our Number Partners and Go for Reading projects and oversee the Interview Technique project. These projects are focused on bringing together volunteers from local businesses and young people in the city and county schools who will benefit most from this support.

If you are creative, ambitious, really committed to making a change and want to lead and develop young person-centered projects we would like to hear from you. You will have experience of working with children and young people from a diversity of cultural backgrounds in an empowering way and will be able to plan, manage, administer, monitor and evaluate your workload. A confident communicator, you will feel at ease networking, working in partnership and promoting the work of the project to businesses and schools. You will be a team player who is committed to ongoing learning. Given the nature of this post an enhanced DBS check will be carried out.

The intention is that the post holder works full time, five days a week (7 working hours a day) during term time and has the remaining c13 days of work spread as required over school holiday period.
