Our sincere thanks to all the wonderful employee volunteers who have taken part in Team Challenges and Festive Challenges over the past 12 months.

Here’s a snapshot of what they have been up to in the local community and if this inspires YOU, then please get in touch with Sarah, Leona or Raheema to find out more.

Cambridge & County Bank spent time at Holmfield Day Centre in Beaumont Leys clearing an overgrown area so the new ‘olde worlde shop fronts’ can be installed as part of their new dementia village project. Also brightening up the garden by painting benches and the pagoda means those using the centre and their families can have a lovely environment to talk and be together.

“The team were very ambitious and completed more of our project than we were expecting. We just can not believe how much they achieved in one day. Our service users and staff are so grateful and pleased with the progress and they absolutely love the little shops.
A big thank you goes to all involved from all service users and staff at Holmfield

Blueberry Foods based in Leicester Forest East spent a day at Mosaic painting a large communal area and kitchen. They also created a special wipeable chalkboard on the wall where the younger users could draw to their hearts content.

“We now have fresh clean looking room for our disabled customers and the addition of the chalkboard is great. The room is a place we are proud of and we are telling everyone that Blueberry foods staff did it for disabled people and how great their staff are.

CloudCall, one of our new members based in Leicester, helped out at the Saffron Acres Project Christmas BBQ. The volunteers enjoyed craft activities with the ‘Wednesday Group’ and helped cook, serve and share the food and drinks for the festive lunch.

“Cloudcall were extremely generous with their time and resources. They made a lasting impression with our volunteers bringing thoughtful activities and providing a delicious lunch. It was great for the staff to be able to spend some time with the volunteers and enjoy the event together.
