Hinckley & Rugby Building Society win Leicester Mercury Business Award

HRBS have contributed so much to Leicestershire Cares’ activities so we are all delighted that they have received the Leicester Mercury Business Award for their ‘Contribution to the Community.’

HRBS have been members of Leicestershire Cares since February 2012 and have been incredibly active during that time. They have provided volunteers in schools to support with literacy, numeracy and interview skills as part of our Go for Reading, Number Partners and Interview Technique projects and got involved with gusto with our community projects, Collect for Christmas Campaign and Coat Drive.

The Champions Stewart and Carla have driven the activities with Passion, Capacity and Resilience, ensuring that all staff are informed and encouraged to engage in some way and are an inspiration to us all.

Stewart Heeley, Marketing and PR Manager has said “The win came as a great surprise to me personally and we’re all delighted. It’s as much a win for you and the team at Cares as it is for us. It’s an old cliche but we definitely couldn’t have done it without you, as our Cares membership has reinvigorated our volunteering and given it a new lease of life. And the added bonus is we’ve made some great friends there too. Your support and enthusiasm is greatly appreciated at all times.”

Congratulations and well done HRBS – we are lucky to have you as members, long may it continue!!!
